  • You are over 50 years of age and have lived in the United States as a permanent resident for the past 20 years, or
  • You are over 55 years of age and have lived in the United States as a permanent resident for the past 15 years, or
  • You have a disability preventing you from understanding language or taking a test to demonstrate your understanding and you file a Medical Certification for Disability Exceptions” (USCIS Form N-648) certified by a physician.
